How the Score Is Calculated
Each solved word earns points, and the fewer wrong guesses you use, the more each word is worth. Because every wrong letter costs an attempt, a clean solve is worth more than a sloppy one that burns three letters. Tips to Improve
- Open with the most common letters in English: E, A, O, I, T, N, S, R. They appear in the largest share of words.
- Always guess vowels early. A word with no A, E, or O is a rare shape, and confirming the vowels narrows the field fast.
- Read the revealed pattern after two or three letters and think of whole words that fit the shape before guessing more.
- Adjust your strategy to the word length. A four-letter word usually has one vowel, sometimes two; a long word spreads its vowels out.
- When a letter is revealed, look for it again in the remaining blanks before guessing a new letter.
